Lance Hilderbrand is a young alumnus of Stanford University, where he holds a BA in Political Data Science with a minor in the Digital Humanities. While at Stanford, Lance worked as a teaching assistant for classes in Russian Art & Culture and Urban Studies in addition to working as a data analyst for the university's Communications & Digital Media department.
Born in Spokane, Washington and raised along the Colville Reservation, Lance is passionate about social justice, with a particular penchant for indigenous, LGBTQ, and environmental justice. Prior to joining PERE/CSII, Lance worked as a data analyst for the Stanford Law School's Human Rights Clinic, where he conducted the main analysis of health survey data in support of the communities fighting environmental racism in Louisiana's "Cancer Alley". Lance is interested in the role of design and digital media in the advancement of social justice and quality of life globally and plans on pursuing graduate education along these lines in the near future. He enjoys sci-fi, pop music, maps, and amateur astronomy.
