Prosperity Score by race for the Latino population

The prosperity score by race/ethnicity shows how different racial/ethnic groups are faring relative to the city as a whole as well as to their counterparts in other cities of the same race/ethnicity. The minimum possible value is 1 (needs most work) while the highest is 100 (top performer). For those interested in the challenges faced by residents of a particular race/ethnicity in a particular city, the Prosperity Score by race allows an Atlas user to see how they are faring overall, across all indicators, and also to drill down to the particular indicators that need most improvement. This can help facilitate policy prioritization tailored to particular communities in each city, and to track progress being made. While we acknowledge that further disaggregation beyond broad race/ethnicity is important, we believe the Prosperity Score by race provides a useful overview of racial equity in a city, and note that deeper disaggregation can be found by going to each indicator underlying the index.
