Prosperity Score: Asian American or Pacific Islander Population

The prosperity score by race/ethnicity shows how different racial/ethnic groups are faring relative to the community as a whole and relative to their counterparts in other communities. The minimum possible value is 1 (needs most work) while the highest is 100 (top performer). For those interested in the challenges faced by a particular racial/ethnic group in a particular place, the prosperity score by race allows users to see how that group is faring overall and to drill down to the particular indicators that need the most improvement. This can help facilitate policy prioritization tailored to particular communities in that place, and to track the progress being made. While further disaggregation within broad racial/ethnic categories is important, the prosperity score by race provides a useful overview of racial equity outcomes. Deeper disaggregation within racial/ethnic groups can be found by viewing individual indicators in the National Equity Atlas.
